I was lucky to be given an old 1-wire weather systems from Dallas semi-conductors . It was an old piece of tech but i managed to get it connected to a pi and for over 10 years it resolutely recored weather in my back garden.

As you can see the device has weathered 10 years and finally giving up the ghost. The raspberry pi one of the first made ran and still runs for those years recording locally with no errors.
Whilst the device finally stopped working and even now i will see if i can get it restarted . What it did yield was a view of climate over ten years that data shows how the world around is changing . Highs are getting higher
Whilst lows are getting lower in some cases .

That data is available for anyone to access https://ckan.envirologger.io/dataset/output . The gaps in data are due to me switching off the device accidentally and forgetting to check it . 2024 appears to be the hottest ,
